Description:
Muzzle
The muzzle of the Marlin was designed to accommodate 1 or 2 circular slings. It
is equipped with the new QRS system (Quick Reload System).
This system combines the advantages of a closed muzzle and an open muzzle. It
allows the loading time to be shortened and avoids the inconvenience of having
to use the line to hold the spear in place on the muzzle.
A moving mechanism ensures automatic positioning. A screw located under the
muzzle allows for micrometric precision in adjusting the spear position
according to the its exact diameter.
The QRS eliminates vibrations of the spear on the muzzle and the disturbing
noises that these cause. This system is available as an interchangeable unit. It
can be replaced by conventional units (open or closed muzzle) which are sold as
options. To change the unit, release the holding pin.
The QRS is protected by an international patent.
Setting the QRS
The setting is optimized when the spear is held on its guide by the flanges but
retains full freedom of movement in the line of aim. As such, the spear must
remain in place regardless of the position of the hunter.
To fine-tune the setting: Open the flanges by turning the adjustment screw
counter-clockwise. Once the spear is correctly positioned in the speargun, turn
the adjustment screw clockwise to retighten the flanges.
Check that the spear is correctly in place and ensure its freedom of movement.
If the spear rubs against the flanges, loosen the mechanism.
